Pending compliance review. This is a drafted template covering the disclosures a licensed insurance producer typically owes under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, state insurance privacy rules, and state consumer privacy statutes. Complete the bracketed items and have counsel approve it before launch. It is not a substitute for the separate GLBA privacy notice you must deliver to applicants and policyholders. Delete this notice once reviewed.

1. Scope
This policy covers information collected through mclifeinsurance.com and through your dealings with MC Financial LLC, doing business as MC Life Insurance, as a licensed insurance producer.
As a producer we are a “financial institution” under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. If you apply for or hold a policy through us, you will also receive a separate GLBA privacy notice describing our information practices for non-public personal information, and, where your state requires it, a notice under your state’s insurance information and privacy protection law. Those notices govern where they conflict with this page.
Insurance carriers you apply to are separate companies with their own privacy policies. Once your application reaches a carrier, that carrier’s policy governs what it does with your information.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details — name, email address, telephone number, city, state, ZIP code.
- Quoting information — date of birth, sex as used for insurance rating, tobacco use, coverage amount and type sought, self-reported general health, and any notes you choose to write.
- Career applications — licensing status, background, experience, availability, income goals, and any link or document you send.
- Anything else you volunteer in a message, call, or email.
We do not ask for a Social Security number, driver’s license number, bank account, or payment card details to prepare a quote. If you proceed to a formal application, the carrier will collect that information through its own secure application, subject to the carrier’s privacy notice.
Information collected automatically
[Complete this section to match what you actually deploy.] As delivered, this website loads no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking scripts and sets no cookies of its own. It requests web fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of that request. If you later add analytics, a tag manager, advertising pixels, chat, or call tracking, list each one here with its purpose and link to its privacy policy, and add a cookie consent mechanism where required.
Sensitive information
Health-related information you provide for quoting is sensitive. We collect only what is needed to identify appropriate carriers, use it only for that purpose, and do not use or disclose it for advertising.
3. Why we use it
- To prepare the quote or comparison you asked for.
- To contact you about your request, by the methods you consented to.
- To submit applications you authorise to the carriers you choose.
- To service your policy and to assist your beneficiaries with a claim.
- To evaluate a producer application if you applied to work with us.
- To keep records that insurance law requires us to keep, including our advertising and transaction files.
- To detect fraud and to secure our systems.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Underwriting decisions are made by carriers, not by us.
4. Who we share it with
- Insurance carriers and their underwriters — to obtain quotes and submit applications you authorise.
- Insurance marketing organisations and brokerage general agencies we contract through, where required to place your case.
- Service providers that operate our systems — hosting, email, customer relationship management, e-signature, telephony — under contracts that limit them to serving us.
- Regulators, auditors, and law enforcement where required by law, subpoena, or a state insurance department examination.
- A successor in a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business, subject to this policy.
5. We do not sell your information
MC Financial LLC does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your personal information to lead vendors, data brokers, or third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Your quote request is not resold to other agents.
If that ever changes, we will update this page and provide the notice and opt-out that applicable law requires before doing so.
6. Calls, texts & email
When you tick the consent box on a form, you give MC Financial LLC dba MC Life Insurance permission to contact you at the number and address you supplied, including by automatic telephone dialling system, artificial or prerecorded voice, and SMS text message. That consent is never a condition of buying anything. Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies.
You can withdraw consent at any time: reply STOP to a text, tell the producer on a call, use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email admin@mclifeinsurance.com. We honour do-not-contact requests promptly and maintain an internal do-not-call list. We also honour the National Do Not Call Registry and applicable state registries.
We may still contact you about a policy you hold or a transaction you started, as permitted by law.
7. Cookies & tracking
As delivered, this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Your browser may store nothing from us at all.
[If you add analytics, advertising, chat, session recording, or call tracking, describe each here, state the legal basis, and implement a consent banner where your users’ jurisdictions require one. Also state how you respond to Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals.]
8. How we protect it
This site is served over encrypted HTTPS connections, and information you submit travels encrypted in transit. We limit access to your information to producers and staff who need it, and we require our service providers to protect it by contract.
Insurance producers in many states are subject to an information security programme requirement modelled on the NAIC Insurance Data Security Model Law, including risk assessment, an incident response plan, and breach notification duties. [Confirm the requirements of each state in which you are licensed and describe your written information security programme here.]
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and the appropriate regulators as the law requires.
9. How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose collected and then for the period insurance record-retention and advertising-file rules require in the applicable states — commonly several years after a transaction, and longer for policies that remain in force. [Insert your specific retention schedule.] After that we delete or de-identify it.
10. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to obtain a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), to limit use of sensitive information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Some state insurance privacy laws give you an additional right to see and correct recorded personal information and to add a statement of dispute.
To make a request, email admin@mclifeinsurance.com or call (843) 312-0212. We will verify your identity before acting, respond within the time the applicable law allows, and tell you if an exception — such as a record we are legally required to retain — prevents us from fulfilling part of a request. You may use an authorised agent where the law permits.
[If you are subject to a comprehensive state privacy statute, add the appeal process, the request metrics disclosure, and any “Do Not Sell or Share” link that statute requires. Note that several such statutes exempt information already governed by GLBA — confirm the analysis with counsel.]
11. Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes & contact
If we change this policy we will post the revised version here and update the date above. Material changes will be highlighted.
